Float is a modular soft seating collection that addresses the softer human needs in the workspace. It improves interpersonal space and enhances meaningful interactions, making it an ideal solution for dynamic short-term workflow. The design is based on extensive research into natural group sizes and applied body spaces during social engagement or introversion.

One of the unique properties of Float is its flexibility. It allows users to come together in more natural forming group numbers and collaborate and interact. The rotating seat and soft upholstered surfaces enable users to dictate how they engage with people around them. Additionally, the lightweight construction and rotating castors make it easy to reposition the furniture as needed.

Float is made in collaboration with Thomas Montgomery Ltd, an upholstery manufacturer known for their enthusiasm and considered approach to furniture and work solutions. The design features a moulded beech laminate back and arm support, a dome-topped PU foam swivel seat mounted on a canting powder-coated tubular steel frame, and handcrafted upholstery with combustion modified high resilient foam. The wide choice of contract fabrics available allows for customization to suit different environments.

Float was exhibited at various design events, including ID2015 Liminal Irish Design at the Threshold Exhibition at Milan Design Week, New York Design Week, Dublin Event, and 100% Design London. It has received recognition for its excellence and innovation, winning the Silver A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2016.
